World-renowned Catholic scholar George Weigel will visit the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana November 14th at 7pm at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament.

In line with his new book, “To Sanctify the World: The Vital Legacy of Vatican II,” Weigel brings over 30 years’ experience of global Catholic affairs to his compelling analysis of the Council.

“I hope the people of the Lafayette diocese will come away from my talk with a deeper understanding of
why Vatican II was necessary, what Vatican II actually taught, and how the Council was given its
authoritative interpretation by Pope John Paul II and Benedict XVI—two men who played considerable
roles at the Council as younger men,” Weigel said.

After his talk, books will be available for purchase and to be signed by the author.
