As many of you know, Mark Denney, father of CC 7th grader Xavier, had a stroke and has been hospitalized in Indianapolis since spring break. Mark is making progress and expected to be discharged on May 21st to start his rehabilitation. The Denney family have been members of the LCSS Community for many years. Mark’s wife, Michelle, and two children (Alex CC class of ‘22 & Xavier) are members of St. Lawrence Parish. We know that you are all ready and willing to help in whatever way possible; and, below, you will find the details of how best to move forward with donations, help, etc.

Central Catholic will be taking up a collection for the Denney family-for expenses, gas to and from Indianapolis, upcoming renovations to the Denney house needed to accommodate Mark when he returns home, and anything else needed at this time. There are two ways that you can help that will be of great impact for the family.

First, we will be collecting monetary donations at CC through the end of the week, April 26th.  You can give money one of three ways:

• ONLINE: Donate online
• CASH: If you send a cash donation, please place a note in the envelope that says “Denney Family.”
• CHECK: If you prefer to write a check, please be sure to make checks payable to Lafayette Catholic School System.  Please write in the memo line, “Denney Family.”  

Once all the money is collected, LCSS will distribute one check to Mrs. Denney by May 1st. 

Second, you can also participate by giving gift cards (gas, food, etc) to help with fuel costs to and from the hospital and family meals. Any and all gift cards are most welcome. The family is most grateful for any gift card you prefer to send.

And, last, but of the utmost importance, please continue to keep the Denney family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you again for taking the time and care to help out our LCSS family members in their time of need. This community is a true blessing to be a part of, and the Denney family is so grateful for your kindness and generosity.

We will accept donations now through April 26th. Please donate online or send cash, checks or gift cards to the school office, and the office will be sure that the monetary donations and gift cards go directly to the Denney family.
