The junior high Academic Super Bowl team won a state championship and finished in the top 10 in every competition category on Saturday, April 27.
Out of 47 teams competing in Class 4, the Knights were state champions in Interdisciplinary, fourth place in Math, fifth place in Science ; fifth place in English, and 10th place in Social Studies.
Our B teams also competed well. Those teams took 15th in Social Studies, 21st in Interdisciplinary, 23rd in English, 28th in Science, and 32nd in English.
Here was the makeup of the A teams:
Interdisciplinary – Charlotte Watson, Lillian Tanney, Katelyn Tanney, Adison Hammel, Makayla Nagle.
Math – Lillian Tanney, Charlotte Watson, Mary Schweiss; coached by Mrs. Jill Starr.
Science – Makayla Nagle, Ryan Bonner, Parker Duso, Katelyn Tanney, and Joe Schnerre; coached by Ms. Rachel Tillman.
English – Adison Hammel, Katelyn Tanney, Lillian Tanney; coached my Mr. Joe Gerrety.
Social Studies – Makayla Nagle, Parker Duso, Adison Hammel, Charlotte Watson; coached by Ms. Irene Scudder and Ms. Tess Szathmary.
