If you haven’t been on the https://fafsa.ed.gov/ website recently, it has changed. The Feds say it is more mobile, smart phone, tablet, laptop friendly https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/about/announcements/fafsa-mobile-options. Time will tell.
It is best that both the student and one parent request a Federal Student Aid ID (FSA ID) https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa/filling-out/fsaid?_ga=2.151198206.69791068.1534171793-770185239.1532609084 prior to filing the FAFSA online. 2019-20 FAFSA filing can begin as early as but students shouldn’t feel rushed to complete the online form that quickly. Students should contact the college/school that they hope to attend, find out what their priority FAFSA filing date is, then file the FAFSA prior to that date.
