May is Mental Health Awareness Month

May 24th, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Friends and Family Seminar at St. Andrew United Methodist Church- 4703 N 50 W, West Lafayette, IN 47906
NAMI West Central Indiana is partnering with St. Andrews to provide a presentation for family members, friends, and caregivers of individuals living with mental illness. The seminar aims to help participants understand and cope with the challenges of supporting a loved one with a mental health condition. It covers topics such as the symptoms and treatments of various mental illnesses, communication strategies, and coping skills. Lunch will be provided. Registration is required.
May 24th from 6 pm to 8 pm Journey Through Darkness A Gathering for Those Impacted by Suicide at the NAMI West Central Indiana office- 615 North 18th Street Suite 104 Lafayette, IN
The Tippecanoe County Local Outreach for Suicide Survivors (LOSS) team is hosting an event for those impacted by suicide. This gathering will provide a safe and welcoming space for attendees to come together and be with others who have experienced a loss to suicide. The goal is to give a sense of community, understanding, and healing. Individuals from surrounding counties are also welcome. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
