Emerging Leaders Retreat: Discover how Women are Excelling in Business

Emerging Leaders Retreat: Discover how Women are Excelling in Business

We are pleased to announce a new and exciting summer opportunity for rising high school sophomores and juniors.

After a successful one-day retreat in October 2017, the Jane Brock-Wilson Women in Management Center of Krannert School of Management at Purdue University is expanding the program into a four-day residential retreat to be hosted on Purdue’s West Lafayette Campus in July of 2018.

Designed primarily to benefit young women, the Emerging Leaders Retreat: Discover how Women are Excelling in Business, will utilize hands on activities to promote team building, leadership, confidence and negotiation skills.  Also included are modules that will introduce the business principles of economics, strategy, marketing, supply chain and finance. Other engaging activities will be offered throughout the week that will give the participants a glimpse of life as a college student.

The Emerging Leaders Retreat will be held July 8 – 12, 2018. The only cost to participants is transportation to and from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN and whatever spending money they would like to have.  In order to be considered, students must complete an online application and submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher or employer and an official grade transcript.

More information is available on our website:    http://www.krannert.purdue.edu/centers/women-in-management/initiatives/emerging-leaders-retreat.php
