For the past three years, Greater Lafayette has joined with communities across the country for a one day celebration of manufacturing. But one day isn’t enough.
This year, Greater Lafayette Commerce is organizing the first annual Manufacturing Week, which will run for four days from Sept. 29 to Oct. 2. The event is designed to recruit young people to pursue manufacturing jobs and training.
High school juniors and seniors will have a chance to see local plants first hand. And a manufacturing expo will be open to students in 8th through 10th grades, educators and community members.
If you go
