Central Catholic will be giving the PSAT and SAT tests on October 11, 2023. Each freshman, sophomore, and junior will take the PSAT on that day. The PSAT is a practice version of the SAT college entrance exam. This test aims at preparing our students for taking the SAT exam which all juniors in the state must complete in the spring semester (as per the Indiana Department of Education). Also on October 11th Central Catholic will also be giving the SAT exam to select seniors who signed up to take the exam. This is an opportunity for our students to take the SAT college entrance exam at their own school during the school day.
7th and 8th grade students will NOT be on campus October 11th. They will have an e-learning day. Please see the following link regarding e-learning guidelines. Students will have assignments to complete and will have to log in for attendance on that day.
12th grade students NOT taking the SAT on this day will also not be on campus. They will have an e-learning day (e-learning guidelines) Students will have an assignment to complete and will have to log in for attendance on that day.
Students who are testing on Oct. 11th should arrive at school by 11:30 AM. Testing will begin at 12:00 PM and will end at 3:12 PM. Students testing with accommodations/extended time will be contacted individually by student services with your start times. If you are unable to transport your student to testing at the start time, supervision will be provided at the school starting at 8:00 AM.
- 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Lunch (optional)
- 11:30 AM: students will report to their testing rooms
- 12:00 PM: testing will begin
- 3:12 PM: students will be released from testing
