Dear Parents and Students,
We are excited to announce the addition of a teaching tool that will provide academic data to students, parents and teachers. NWEA (NorthWest Evaluation Association) is a research based assessment program that precisely measures a student’s growth and proficiency.
Generally administered three times a school year (fall, winter, and spring), the NWEA assessment is an online test focused on English and Math skills and knowledge. Students in grades 7-11 will be taking the NWEA on Wednesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 22. Testing will begin promptly at 8:00 AM so please be sure your child arrives at school on time.
Students should report to their 10:10 classroom before 8:00 AM on both Wednesday and Thursday. Each testing session will be approximately two hours long. VIRTUAL learners are required to take the test and specific instructions will be sent to all VIRTUAL and QUARANTINED students. Virtual learners will take the test from home and be monitored accordingly.
Seniors will report to their 10:10 classrooms to work with Student Services staff on college applications and items within Naviance. Ivy Tech students should report to their 10:10 classrooms when they arrive at CC no later than 9:45. During Period one and two, Ivy Tech students will report to the cafeteria and Student Services will be working with this group of Seniors within Naviance.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. The bell schedule for NWEA testing dates is as follows:
