If you ask any female IT professional, chances are she got into IT because someone suggested it or showed her that it was a possibility. The Computer and Information Technology program at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) is working to add to that process. This summer, IUPUI will host a residential summer camp for high school females. The camp will take place from July 22nd – July 28th.
WinIT gives the campers the opportunity to learn about technology through hands-on activities such as creating a website with CSS and HTML5, using Photoshop to edit images, developing a mobile app, networking and security, 3D printing, and computer animation. In addition to learning about technology, campers will have the opportunity to meet IT professionals and participate in an IUPUI scavenger hunt, arts and crafts, and other fun activities.
Please see attached flyer. Further information can be found athttp://go.iu.edu/nNB. Some scholarships are available. Thank you.
