Political Cartoons Attract New Settlers
Mr. Cornelius’ 8th Grade U.S. History class created political cartoons to attract new settlers to the west. Gold in California, Oregon Trail, the fight for Texas, The Alamo, Louisiana Purchase and many more. The results were amazing!

Nothing but Nets for 7th gr. Math
Last Week in 7th grade math, Mrs Beckham’s classes learned about the surface area of 3D figures using “nets”. Students explored the topic by cutting out different net designs and discovering which of them COULD be folded to make a cube, and which of them would NOT make a cube. Hands-on learning rocks!
