Today the HS Band had the opportunity to interview Gunnery Sergeant Chris Reaves, a trombonist and member of the President’s Own Marine Corps Band. Gunnery Sergeant Reaves was able to share with us his story of going through music in school, his performing career, and ultimately his audition and history with performing with the Marine Corps Band. Student’s were able to ask questions and hear him play a little excerpt from “Semper Fidelis”, the official March of the Marine Corps. This piece also happens to be the march that the CC Band is preparing for our ISSMA Contest in April. It was an awesome interview!
