The junior high cheerleading team and their coach worked with the “Daughters of the American Revolution”, Fort Ouiatenon Society, to help support the Military Family Research Institute (MFRI) “Stand Down” at Purdue University. The mission of the Military Family Research Institute (MFRI) is to extend and strengthen the ability of military and civilian organizations to help military families. This is done by designing and implementing outreach activities that assist military families and by conducting research with and for military families that generates important new knowledge about their experiences. An annual charity drive was held by the “Daughters of the American Revolution” to help support the Purdue MFRI. The cheerleaders sold sold water and lollipops which raised funds to support the purchase of new socks and underwear. The socks and underwear will be handed out on November 5 at 8:00 AM at the Tippecanoe Fair Ground to homeless and low income veterans and their families. A huge thank you goes out to Coach Shelby Hicks, Senior Cheerleader Briana Rayman, and the Junior High Cheerleading Team for all their hard work. Great Job Ladies!
