Central Catholic was certainly a community of FAITH, KNOWLEDGE, SERVICE, and FUN last week as we celebrated Catholic Schools Week 2016! We prayed, played, learned and served all week long! Check out highlights from the week…
The Change-for-Change Challenge at CC raised OVER $3000 for the Claire and Patrick Mackey Children’s Cancer Foundation! The 10:10 to raise the most was Mrs. Weintraut’s group with $489 in donations. Thank you for the generosity of all who participated!
Tuesday brought with it a whole different challenge. Throughout the day students participated in Catholic Trivia. Questions included topics ranging from Church history and the lives of Saints to Catholic scientists and famous religious art. Fun was had by all!
A favorite memory for many throughout the years is Sharing Day during Catholic Schools Week. Many memories were made again this year! Students from St. Lawrence, St. Mary and St. Boniface joined us at CC for Mass, Blessing of Throats and some fun in the classrooms!
Together with the elementary schools, we collected over 850 lbs of food and delivered it to the Tippecanoe County Food Bank! They were so very grateful for our donation.
We ended our celebration of Catholic Schools Week with a morning at Mike Aulby’s Arrowhead Bowl and an afternoon of more fun and games!
Thank you to the many parents who helped make this week another wonderful celebration of our Catholic schools!
