CC Art Students Earn Gold and Silver Keys in Scholastic Art and Writing Competition

Congratulations to the following High School students for their success at the 2018 Scholastic Art & Writing Regional Awards. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in the U.S., and the largest source of scholarships for young artists and writers. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have an impressive legacy dating back to 1923 and a noteworthy roster of past winners including Andy Warhol, Sylvia Plath, Truman Capote, Richard Avedon, Robert Redford and Joyce Carol Oates.

This is a remarkable achievement and milestone for all emerging young artists. A panel of regional artists and art professionals selected the works—from among the many outstanding works submitted by Indiana high school and junior high school students. Gold Key, Silver Key and Honorable Mention works were selected as the most exceptional in our 54 county region.  Over 2,800 entries were submitted to the Indiana Regional Awards of those only 108 Gold Keys, 182 Silver Keys, and 419 Honorable Mention Awards are presented.
